About

Louisiana-born artist and writer Alex Roussel truly lives by the motto of "never stop creating," always at-work, whichever avenue of expression is being taken. Through observation and confession, aspects of humanity and nature are revealed through written word and brushstrokes. Personal storms and universal desires flow through each piece constructed. Roussel completed a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011 - and in 2013 received a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Roussel currently resides in Lafayette, teaching art and English - and creates work ceaselessly. Beside their own exhibitions and publications, Roussel's writings and art have been seen in The Acadiana Center of the Arts, The Vermilion, Poets for Living Waters, Talkin' Blues, and others.
