Audrey de Mahy

A writer of poetry, born and raised in southern Louisiana. My formal education is in Ecology, for which I have earned a Masters of Science at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. However, calling myself a self-taught artist would be a disservice to the many writers I have shamelessly imitated over the years. While ecology is no longer my field of study, it has afforded me a curiosity and fascination with nature that I retain in my creative work. As a poet, I am interested in symbols, the reflection of the inner self in the mundane, and the unique quality of nature to sometimes defy interpretation.
