Craig LeBlanc

Craig LeBlanc creates detailed figurative paintings, often an interpretation of festive gatherings and crowd scenes. He was born in New Orleans and currently resides in Lafayette, LA. A largely self-taught artist, he paints with oils on canvas and pursues a style bursting forth with plenty of visual action. "My surroundings, the people of Louisiana influence my creative process," he says. "In a way I am paying homage to the people that I paint and I hope to capture some essence of us all." His work is held in numerous private collections and has exhibited at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Alexandria Museum of Art and the Louisiana Capital Park Museum, among others.
