About

Shmontray Jacquett Williams is a creative visionary, cultural architect, and sacred disruptor—an artist whose work is stitched with spirit, legacy, and unapologetic truth. A designer and storyteller born to transmute pain into power, he crafts not just aesthetics but altars: spaces where fashion meets faith, and where streetwear becomes scripture. He collaborated with 95 North and Hip Stop Boutiques as Creative Director on officially licensed, team-approved New Era 59FIFTY fitteds—including the bold “Detroit Red” cap. This design pays homage to Minister Malcolm X—born Malcolm Little—honoring his work at Temple No. 14 in Hartford, Connecticut, Shmontray’s hometown. With deep red panels, a brown brim, and the Tiger Stadium patch, the cap is both a crown and a conversation: blending elegance, activism, and revolutionary pride. As the owner of DEADfamous, Shmontray created more than a brand—he built a movement. Equal parts boutique, gallery, and creative sanctuary, DEADfamous empowers artists to own their stories, brand their vision, and build wealth on their own terms. Whether mentoring, curating, or creating, his message is consistent: The grave is silent. Live loud. To know his work is to witness purpose. To support it is to align with legacy.
