Art for Artist's Sake
Art for Artist's Sake is an online initiative started by The Front , a St. Claude artist collective, to provide quick cash to artists affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Every Saturday beginning on April 11th, The Front hosts a weekly sale on their website of 10-14 artworks listed at $100 each. Patrons have an opportunity to purchase the work for one week, before a new round of artworks are added the following Saturday. The roster of artists include those who are donating their works and proceeds, as well as artists who will benefit monetarily from the sales. The proceeds are added up at the end of each week and distributed to the benefitting artists of that cycle.
