‘Somewhere in Between’ is a new workshop series and an ongoing research of how singing in community can hold a sacred space for local creatives to give shape to their empowerment. This work is an effort to activate Black and Brown communities, through a group singing practice, and facilitate the start of a creative road to a call for change. ‘Somewhere in Between’ seeks to foster a collective energy between those who feel a sense of displacement and // or a constant tug to be elsewhere. This work is centered around BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and ALAANA (African, Latine, Asian, Arab, Native American) identifying communities. It is not a requirement to be BIPOC or ALAANA in order to participate. APPLICATION CLOSES ON APRIL 2nd If you have questions, please DM @somewhereinbetweensongs on instagram, send an email or call!
