East Street Arts is looking for creative staff that is flexible, enthusiastic, friendly and well organized to provide art-based employment and training opportunities to the artisans with disabilities. The Creative Coach will be responsible for implementing instructional workshops such as chair caning/seat weaving and support the artisans in their artistic endeavors. This may include helping and preparing materials and equipment for artisans, assist as needed with curriculum, collaborating with peers and supervisors to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning. Monitors, observes and prompts individuals in their workshop projects for the day and will also complete their own workshop projects when not engaged with artisans. Assist with personal needs of the artisans such as toileting and personal care, as needed. Complete required data entry needed for attendance and billing on a daily basis. Manage storefront transactions with customers using cash register. Experience with working with persons with disabilities and/or experience with teaching is preferred. Experience in customer service is preferred. Experience or background in art, design, textile weaving or similar field required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as basic Internet and email use. Must be able to learn and use web-based systems for sales, program documentation, time, and attendance, learning management, and other purposes. Must have the ability to navigate and utilize Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other videoconferencing technology as required.
