Let Them Eat Art (LTEA) is Maplewood's whimsical tribute to Bastille Day. This vibrant event features live art demonstrations by regional artists, live music, shopping, and food & drink from the city's award-winning culinary scene. But Let Them Eat Art isn’t an art fair—it’s a celebration of creativity, where art is made, enjoyed, and experienced in the shops and streets of Downtown Maplewood. Artists are selected based on a few key criteria: -Fresh and innovative work -A diverse mix of artistic mediums -A compelling live demonstration proposal -The demonstration aspect is essential. All participating artists must perform a live demonstration and/or complete a work of art during the event. No matter your medium, get creative! In exchange for providing a demonstration, artists have the opportunity to show and sell their work for a nominal fee. Demonstrations should be ongoing and interactive throughout the event within your designated exhibition space. -Date: Friday, July 11, 2025 -Time: 6 PM – 10 PM -Where: The event is located in a portion of the Maplewood Special Business District - Sutton Blvd and Manchester east to Southwest Ave.
