AcA and LCG will create 20 new ArtBoxes in neighborhoods within the historic core of the City of Lafayette featuring artwork that celebrates the unique community and culture of these neighborhoods. What’s an ArtBox? ArtBoxes are traffic signal boxes that feature original artwork, printed on high-quality vinyl wraps. These ArtBoxes beautify our community and celebrate local culture. How does it work? Artists can submit a simple proposal with their original artwork to be installed on any of the proposed sites located in and around the Downtown, McComb-Veazey, LaPlace, Freetown-Port Rico, Quiet Town and Oasis neighborhoods. Selected artists will receive a $500 artists fee, paid upon completion of a final design.
