About
I've always been creative, art was my favorite subject in school. I was the one in the group project that people wanted on their team because I could make the presentation look pretty! I went on to take AP art in high school, where my art teacher submitted lots of my mixed media work that won 1st/2nd place and honorable mention. Before graduating high-school in 2012 I got pregnant at 17, and had my son at 18. I knew after he was in my life that art was what I wanted to pursue. Not only because it was what I realized I loved doing, especially after becoming more clear and getting my life together but it was also what would allow me to be apart of his life the way I wanted to. I could be there at home with him. I started working more in depth with acrylics, selling commissioned work based on the requests of family and friends! Around that time too, I started showing my personal work at shows such as Pancakes and Booze Art Show, Chocolate and Art Show, and Artsgoggle in 2012/2013. Over the last 10 years, a larger and growing audience came along, I began selling my oil paintings regularly, painting custom shoes and even creating a coloring book after diving into graphic design. My work contains lots of floral, botanical and nature themes. It really has always been about nature and the connection it has with the human body, over time my work has matured, become more detailed and more surrealistic. I really have dove into the importance of mental health through my work, which all ties into those early struggles I didn’t understand before I had my son. In 2021 I began my mural career, which has been the biggest blessing. I continue to show my work, sell my work and paint murals throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area here in Texas. My primary intention being to bring awareness to mental health through the best way I know how, painting!
