Description
The Welman Project is a Fort Worth-based nonprofit on a mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill. Through creative repurposing of surplus business waste, we give teachers the tools and support they need to provide vital hands-on learning opportunities to every student. We have three programs that allow us to serve our community: Our educator warehouse, full of unlimited free materials and curriculum-enhancing creative reuse ideas; Our "Curiosity Shop" for makers and families to purchase affordable arts and craft supplies and support local artists; Our "Dad's Garage" makerspace with tools and workshops that empower everyone to explore their creativity. If you’re interested in becoming more involved with The Welman Project and our mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill, you can sign up for volunteer opportunities for all ages, donate materials and funds, shop in our store, register for a class series or family workshop in our makerspace, or check out our makerspace day-passes!
